 Ticket Stub #17 – Marlins vs. Nationals – 4/21/2007

Miami, FL – Dolphin Stadium

Marlins 9, Nationals 3

We got another set of 4 free tickets to the Coors suite for this game.  It was an awesome night with perfect weather.  This was my first opportunity to see 2 of the Marlin’s talented young players – Hanley Ramirez and Dan Uggla and they did not disappoint!!

To increase attendance, the Florida Marlins introduced ‘Super Saturdays’ during the 2007 season.  After the game, fans would be treated to fireworks and a concert.  The band that performed on our night was Cheap Trick.  Although I am not a big fan of theirs, I knew enough of the songs that they played to really enjoy the show…  and watching from the suite was an added bonus!!

For those of you not familiar with their work, here is a video to enjoy.  For me, this band falls into the category of ‘I didn’t know it was them that sang that…’.  If you listen to their Greatest Hits CD you would probably react similarly…

Enjoy!!!

  1. For me, Cheap Trick reminds me of 9th grade. So, yes, I know quite a few of their songs.

  2. Wow… you witnessed a Jason Wood homer AND a Cheap Trick concert in the same day? Fantastic!

Of course the Mayan calendar predicted that things like that would happen.
