Score did a great job with this release. They issued a very sharp and well-centered product that still looks great almost 20 years later. And while the 1971 Topps set is my favorite Black-bordered issue, the centering problems that they had that year stand out on almost every card that you see from that set…
Back to this card, again we have Wrigley Field in the background, and this time we even get to see some of the brick wall that hides behind the famous Ivy. And having the photographer give us such a sharp image of Maddux with an out-of-focus backdrop really makes him and his wind-up jump off of this card!!
