Paul Molitor 2004 SP Legendary Cuts ‘Historic Swatches’

Paul Molitor 2004 SP Legendary Cuts ‘Historic Swatches’

You don’t get to see too many pictures of Paul Molitor in the field on the modern issues.  More known for his ability to dominate the game with his offensive skills, it’s nice to see a different shot of Molitor on this card.

And adding to that great in-the-field photo is a very well done design that includes Gold accents throughout the card.

Check it out:

An instant classic!!!

Andre Dawson 1993 Topps – Base & Variations

Andre Dawson 1993 Topps – Base & Variations

I nabbed all 4 of these beauties at the same time.  And while they all appear to look the same, they are indeed unique.

The top card is the base card from the 1993 Topps set.

The three cards in row 2 are variations of that same base card.  Slightly different, here is what you are seeing in row 2:

Left – 1993 Topps Gold

Center – 1993 Topps Florida Marlins Inaugural Set

Right – 1993 Topps Colorado Rockies Inaugural Set

4 new additions to my Andre Dawson collection – 4 great additions to my Andre Dawson collection.

YES!!!!

Tim Raines 1983 Fleer

Tim Raines 1983 Fleer

There is next to nothing exciting to say about this baseball card of Tim Raines from the 1983 Fleer set.

So, instead of dwelling on that fact, I will jump right into the 1983 baseball season and show off a few highlights that Mr. Raines gave us.

And here they are – 720 plate appearances with 97 walks and 70 strikeouts.  183 hits gave him a .298 batting average and aided his .393 on-base percentage.  32 doubles, 8 triples, and 11 home runs along with 71 RBI.  90 stolen bases and 133 runs scored.

In that ’83 season, Raines made the All-star team for the third season in a row.  He also finished in 5th place for the NL MVP award that year – his highest ranking season of his career!!
