1987 Topps ‘Turn Back The Clock’ – Card #4 – Carl Yastrzemski

In 1967 ‘Yaz’ had an amazing Triple Crown season in which he dominated the American League in the most important offensive categories.  A true superstar, ‘Yaz’ took his game to the next level when he hit .326, 44 home runs, and drove in 121 runs.  While not ‘Triple Crown’ stats, he also led the AL in runs scored, hits, on-base percentage, and total bases.

Here is his card from the 1987 Topps ‘Turn Back The Clock’ set:

Some other special moments from that 1967 season would be:

  1. Willie McCovey’s 3 Grand Slams
  2. Pete Rose’s 25-game hitting streak
  3. Mickey Mantle & Eddie Matthews joining the 500 Home Run Club
