Was Ozzie Smith one of ‘Baseball’s Best’ in 1989?

I think that we all know the answer to that one, but just in case you wanted to dig a little deeper, here is a look at the numbers:

.273 batting average, 162 hits, 30 doubles, 8 triples, 2 home runs, 82 runs scored, 29 stolen bases, 50 RBI, and of course, another Gold Glove for his defensive excellence at shortstop!!

    I bet he turned more double plays than any other SS in ’89.
