1968 Topps Game – Rick Monday

Rick Monday enjoyed a 19-season big league career in which he competed in nearly 2,000 games.

An outfielder that could play all three positions, Monday played for three of the most storied franchises in baseball history – The A’s, Cubs, and Dodgers.

Monday ended his playing days with a .264 career batting average.  He collected 1,619 hits during that time including 248 doubles and 241 home runs. 

Monday was a 2-time All-Star, and he competed in three World Series macth-ups; ultimately winning his lone title in 1981 as a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

  1. Monday is still in possession of the flag he rescued… Apparently hes been offered over a million dollars for it, but refuses to sell it. I love this guy!
