Robin Roberts 2003 Topps All-Time Fan Favorites
I recently scooped up this card of Hall of Famer Robin Roberts:
And while I know very little about his professional career, what drew me to this card was the great photo.
Obviously, Roberts is being told how to pose for the photographer – this was pretty common of cards from the 1950s and 1960s; especially pitchers.
What really caught my eye was the background… Not only do the seated fans seem to have little to no interest in the photo shoot happening right before their eyes, but look at how close to the field they are!!!
