Cal Ripken Jr. 2012 Topps Gypsy Queen
I really like this card of Cal Ripken from this new Topps Gypsy Queen release. The card features a fantastic portrait of Ripken, and it shows that fierce swing of his too.

This got me to thinking, when you hear the name Cal Ripken, what is the first thing you think of?
The streak? His play at shortstop? His home runs? 3,000 hits? Great Guy?
And the list goes on…
For me, I would have to say that I always admired how hard Ripken hit the ball. I watched him play a lot, and he seemed to always hit the ball hard, and on a line too. Tons of line drives, tons of ‘em!!!
