Dave Parker played in an era when player salaries started to blossom. He was not part of the period in which players were signing hundred-million dollar contracts, but he did play when the first multi-year multi-million dollar contracts were issued.
A quick check at www.baseballreference.com shows that Parker did earn more than a million dollars per season played from 1986-1991.
And when I talked to Dave about this, he flashed me his ‘Million Dollar Smile’!!!
