Baseball Card Show Purchase #6 – 2001 Topps Mariano Rivera ’50 Years Of Topps’
Mariano Rivera has been in the news recently as he signed a 1-year deal and will be coming back to the New York Yankees for the 2013 baseball season. Rivera will be 43 years old when the season begins, and he looks to end his career on his terms after missing the entire 2012 season due to a torn ACL.
I saw a lot of Mariano Rivera baseball cards in the bargain bins on Friday night. Each time I pulled one, I found a better looking one to replace it. I found it as a fun challenge to try to score the best looking card I could find of ‘Mo’, and I replaced the card 6-7 times during that process.
And then I found this one and the game was over!

This card is beautiful. The image is crisp and clean. And the Gold logo and lettering looks fantastic against the Forest Green background.
