Steve Carlton 2004 Fleer Greats
I don’t know why, but Steve Carlton does not get the same love as his pitching counterparts from the 1970s and 1980s when it comes to modern-day baseball card releases.
Yes, he is included in modern releases, jut not at the same rate as Tom Seaver, Nolan Ryan, and others.
His numbers stack up, there is no doubting that fact. And he suited up for some historic franchises (STL, PHI, CHW), so I just don’t know why ‘Lefty’ is left out of so many sets and why others are included in almost every new release…
Thankfully, Fleer included Carlton in their 2004 Fleer Greats set.
This card is gorgeous, and I am very happy to have it in my collection.
Hopefully I will be able to add some more cards of Carlton to my collection with a 2013 copyright date.

Great to see my all-time fav player getting some love!!!! The only good thing about him getting dissed by card companies and other collectors, is that his cards are cheaper to get! lol
Truly one of the most under-appreciated players of the last 50 years…
