Baseball Card Show Purchase #8 – 2013 Topps Adam Greeneberg Miami Marlins Rookie Card!!!
Of all of the great looking cards that are part of the 2013 Topps Series One baseball card set, there is just one card that I was actively seeking to find at the show.
And this is it:
We all know the Adam Greenberg story by now. But, as a Marlins fan, this one hits home just a little deeper since it happened right in my backyard.
The South Florida media coverage that surrounded Greenberg both right before and right after was pretty amazing. I have listened to a dozen or more interviews with Greenberg and read quite a bit about him too.
I applaud him sticking to his goals, and I admire his determination to see things through.
I am very happy to own this card. And while I paid relatively nothing for it, I consider this card to be the best one I brought home from the card show.
Greenberg is part of the Orioles franchise now, and he will be at Spring Training with the major league club. Good Luck, Adam!!
Nice card, I pulled one from a box last week. It’ll be fun watching him compete for a position with the Orioles. I’m thinking he’ll go to the Orioles Triple A in Norfolk.
