Million Dollar Question – What Is Your Favorite Current Baseball Logo???
I had a lot of fun with last week’s ‘Million Dollar Question’. It was great to go back and re-look at those old, historic logos.
And now, of course, I am going to ask the same question but for today’s logos.
And it should be just as fun!!!
The interesting thing about today’s logos is that the majority of them look computer-driven, not made by hand. I’m cool with that, after all it is representative of the time we live in. But, when I see the old vintage logos, they look like they have a lot more life to them – true animation!!
When I started looking at the logos of all 30 current MLB teams, I quickly realized that I like a lot of them. And to be honest, if you asked me this last week I may have a different opinion than the one I am about to offer up and the one that I could provide next week too.
But, based on my mood and my likes at this moment, I do have a favorite. It has just enough old-school flare to it to make me think about the team’s history and some of the great players that wore the uniform that boasted this logo.
So, while the Rays, Astros, Mets, and Cardinals all got some consideration, there is one team logo, that for me, sits atop the totem pole.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the logo of the Kansas City Royals:
I love the whole crown look that this logo pulls off. The coloring looks great, and this is a logo that I would proudly sport on a cap or on the sleeve of a jersey. The script ‘Royals’ is sharp, and the Royal Blue coloring is a nice partner to the name of the Royals.
Again, ask me in a few days and I may change my mind, but right now I am loving that logo!!!
How about you? Which current major league logo do you like the best??
