Notes From His 1975 Season:  Washington appeared in 29 games in 1975.  He did not have a single at-bat, but he scored 29 runs while also stealing 29 bases.

Notes From Career:  Washington played in 105 total games between the 1974 and 1975 baseball seasons.  He never got an official at-bat, but he stole 31 bases and scored 33 runs for the Oakland A’s.  He won a World Series title with Oakland in 1974.  During that series, he entered into three games as a pinch-runner, but did not steal any bases or score any runs.

  1. He was also the only player in baseball card history to have his primary position be listed as pinch runner. On a side note, this is one of the few cards I am in need of for my 2nd 1975 set, so if you happen to come across another, please let me know. One of my all-time favorite cards too btw!
