1984 Topps Celebrates Reggie Jackson – Part 2

The 1984 Topps set included a small series of cards paying homage to the active leaders in the major statistical categories for both offense and defense.

This is the card that features the Top 3 active leaders in career RBI.

Reggie 84T 2

When this card was produced, Reggie was the active leader in the sport with 1,435 RBI.  And when he stopped playing the game, he retired with 1,702 which is good for 22nd on the all-time list.

With all of the attention given to Reggie, and rightfully so, he only had 6 seasons in which he collected more than 100 RBI in a season.  This is quite shocking considering how much of a constant MVP threat Reggie was during his 22-year career.
