Jim Palmer Recorded (8) 20+ Win Seasons!!!

Back in the day, the 20-game winner was the picture of pitching excellence.  Notching that 20th victory is what separated the elite pitcher from his peers.

In today’s game, the team ace can be a 14-16 game winner.  But back in the 1960’s, 70’s, and 80’s – 20 was the number to strive for!!!

Jim Palmer reached or eclipsed that mark 8 times in his career.  And he did it during a 9-year span from 1970-78.  Had it not been for an injury plagued season in ’74, Palmer may have reached the 20-win mark for 9 straight years – very impressive!!!
