Help Me Choose The Next Card I Send To Andre Dawson For An Autograph Request.

By now I am hoping that you’ve checked out the newest page I have created on this blog – ‘Ultimate Dawson’.  If not, you should click here to check it out – I promise that it is worth it!!!
Now that I am completely organized again with my Dawson collection, I want to add a few more autographs to my ‘Inscription Set’.  That is where you come in…

One of the next inscriptions I want to add is ‘438 Home Runs’.  And when I send these kinds of requests to ‘The Hawk’, I try to find a card that matches the theme of my requested inscription.  So, I am going to leave this post as a ‘sticky’ and give the readers of ’30-YOC’ an opportunity to help me choose the card I send to match this inscription.

The choices are below.  Just submit your vote into the comments section of this post and the card with the highest tally will be mailed to Andre!!!

1992 Score

1991 Upper Deck

1992 Topps

1987 Topps

1991 Donruss

Thank you for your help!!!

1990 Upper Deck Greg Maddux

1990 Upper Deck Greg Maddux

Maddux is almost as famous for his fielding skills as his pitching greatness.  As the winner of 18 Gold Glove award, he will go down as one of the greatest fielding pitchers of all-time!!

And with that being said, Upper Deck tried to show us a different side of Maddux with their 1990 issue.  Instead of the standard, on-the-mound photo they gave us one of him displaying his fielding ability.  It’s just too bad that this picture is boring…

Give me one of him chasing down a runner.  Give me one of him diving for a pop-up.  Give me one of him back-handing a line drive…

Upper Deck had a great concept for this card.  It’s just too bad that the photo doesn’t deliver the message that they most likely intended.

Did You Know…

Pitcher Lefty Grove won the ERA title nine times – more than any other player.  Some others who have won the title multiple times are Roger Clemens with seven wins, Walter Johnson, Sandy Koufax, Christy Mathewson, Grover Cleveland Alexander, and Pedro Martinez win five each.
