Andre Dawson 2008 Upper Deck Legendary Memorabilia Game-Used Jersey Card

I already owned one of these, but I couldn’t resist ‘stealing’ this on Ebay for just $0.99.

Numbered 81/99, A Dawson relic card featuring that glorious Chicago Cubs pinstripe will win me over each and every time!!!

Billy Williams 1964 Topps ‘Giant’ – Front & Back

Billy Williams 1964 Topps ‘Giant’ – Front & Back

I have 7-8 Billy Williams related searches saved in ‘My Ebay’.  As I try to whittle down the list of cards that I need to complete this set, I have probably given other collections I am working on more attention.  I will work to correct that…

And this is a start.

I grabbed this 1964 Topps ‘Giant’ card a few weeks back.  Oversized and looking great, this card is in very solid condition considering that it was issued more than 46 years ago!!!

This is the first time that I have actually seen one of these in person, and now that I have it, I am very happy that I included this card on my Billy Williams checklist.

Here is the front of the card – a close-up shot of ‘Sweet Swinging’ Billy Williams.

And here is the back.  Pretty nice, huh?  I like what Topps did with this – A great newspaper looking design featuring an article about his 1961 season in which he won Rookie of the Year honors.

I am really happy to have bought this card.  It makes an awesome addition to my Billy Williams collection.  Now I just have to find a way to store it….

Dale Murphy 1989 Donruss – Baseball’s Best

Dale Murphy 1989 Donruss – Baseball’s Best

Another day at ’30-YOC’ when we show off an addition to our Dale Murphy player collection…

Another day when we feature a card issued during the 80’s…

Another day when the card is a posed photo…

Fun, Fun, Fun!!!

Did You Know…

Tino Martinez hit his 300th career home run a very long way from his home ballpark.  The Devil Rays and Yankees opened the 2004 season with a two-game series in Tokyo, Japan.  Martinez, playing in his first game for Tampa Bay, belted his milestone four-bagger against Yankees’ pitcher Felix Heredia in the seventh inning of the first game on March 30.

My take – I wonder if he got the ball back…  🙂
