The Story – Chicago, IL. October 2, 1988: Cubs’ Andre Dawson has attained 10-or-more Home Runs and Stolen Bases for the 12th consecutive season, a major league record. The former mark of 11 straight campaigns was set by Bobby Bonds from 1960 through 1979.

i love how the seats are empty behind Dawson. You don’t see that too much even more, even at the Cubs’ spring training facility (at which this photo was taken).
The empty seats help enhance the aesthetic quality of this card. Also note how the Topps logo sits right on that rail. And how Andre’s bat fits perfectly with the banner above. This is truly one fine card.
