Signing Results: Hall Of Famer, Mr. Brooks Robinson

Signing Results:  Hall Of Famer, Mr. Brooks Robinson

NICE!!!

This signed baseball makes a great addition to my collection.

And the process of how I obtained this ball was virtually painless.  Mr. Robinson does two signings a year through ‘The Dugout Zone’ in Baltimore.  I just missed their cut-off for orders last Spring so this time around I signed up for their e-newsletter to ensure that I did not miss out.

My transaction was handled perfectly, with constant communication throughout the entire process.

And now, I am very proud to show this one off to you all:

Sweet, huh?  That’s the signature of one of the greatest defensive infielders to ever play the game.

I am thrilled to add this signed baseball to my collection.

This is now ball number 42!!

My Banks, Robinson, Schmidt Upper Deck Heroes Set Is Coming Along Nicely…

My Banks, Robinson, Schmidt Upper Deck Heroes Set Is Coming Along Nicely…

Since I had to take a break from the Ernie Banks Upper Deck Heroes set a few weeks back because of card availability, I have started to get a nice grasp of the other cards from that set that feature Mr. Cub.

And since they also feature two other baseball legends in Mike Schimdt and Frank Robinson, the journey continues to be fun.

To date, I have 4 of these three-player cards in my stash, and as I gather up more, I will do my best to show them off to you.

Here is how that set looks today:

Already in my possession are the base, Charcoal, Red, and Green cards.  Hopefully I can find a few more versions to add to my collection as the weeks pass.

And hopefully some of the more rare Ernie Banks parallel versions hit the market too!

Enjoy.

Man, if the photographer that shot this photo would have zoomed out just a little bit more, this could be my favorite picture of Carter on a baseball card.

But since, he didn’t you kind of get a very crowded looking shot….

Take a look:

See what I mean??

Did You Know…

Roger Clemens won his 300th game and struck out his 4,000th batter in the same game.  On June 13, 2003, Clemens pitched the Yankees to a 5-2 win over the St. Louis Cardinals at Yankee Stadium, allowing six runs and two walks in 6.2 innings while striking out 10.
