Did You Know…

At the age of 45, Carlton Fisk  began the 1993 season for the Chicago White Sox with a bang by hitting a solo homer in his first at-bat on April 7 against Minnesota’s Jim Deshaies.  Fisk appeared in 25 more games and batted 50 more times, getting just 9 more hits, all singles, and was released on June 28 shortly after breaking Bob Boone’s record for most games played at catcher.
