Orlando Cepeda Autographed Major League Baseball w/HOF Inscription!!!

Mill Creek did it again – and I took the bait!

Again.

This time around, they were offering a signed baseball signed by Hall of Famer, and legendary Giants player Orlando Cepeda.

Here is the ball:

And it is a fantastic addition to my signed baseball collection.  YES!!!

Carl Yastrzemski 2011 Topps Goodwin Champions – Mini

Carl Yastrzemski 2011 Topps Goodwin Champions – Mini

I love these little guys.

And while I personally own less than 4 of them, I have seen enough of them to make such a committed and fond statement.

In fact, if I were to ever attempt to collect a set issued in the last decade, it is very likely that the 2011 Topps Goodwin Champions set would be the one.

I mean, what’s not to like – vintage look, legendary ballplayers, and a sleek and mini design.

Got this collector droolin’

Tony Gwynn 1995 Fleer Ultra ‘Call To The Hall’ – FAIL!!!

Tony Gwynn 1995 Fleer Ultra ‘Call To The Hall’ – FAIL!!!

This is what happens when a great theme meets a poorly executed plan.

And I fell for it.  Kind of like reading the headline, and none of the fine print.

This card is ONE HOT MESS!!!

Ozzie Smith 1989 Donruss “Baseball’s Best”

Ozzie Smith 1989 Donruss “Baseball’s Best”

Was Ozzie Smith one of ‘Baseball’s Best’ in 1989?

I think that we all know the answer to that one, but just in case you wanted to dig a little deeper, here is a look at the numbers:

.273 batting average, 162 hits, 30 doubles, 8 triples, 2 home runs, 82 runs scored, 29 stolen bases, 50 RBI, and of course, another Gold Glove for his defensive excellence at shortstop!!

Go Get ‘Em Ozzie!!!

Unveiling The Next Subset That I Have Put Together!!!

Unveiling The Next Subset That I Have Put Together!!!

After having a blast putting together the 1987 Topps ‘Turn Back The Clock’ set, I am going to jump from 1987 to 1989 and go after the same set.

I love the style, I love the look, and I love the theme of the ‘TBC’ subset.

And next week, I will start featuring each card from the set.

Enjoy!!!
