Bo Jackson 1987 Donruss ‘Opening Day’

Bo Jackson 1987 Donruss ‘Opening Day’

As I like to do when showing off cards from Donruss’ ‘Opening Day’ set, I thought we would take a look at Bo and how he did on ‘Opening Day’ of 1987.

The Royals hosted the White Sox, but lost the season opener 5-4.  As for Bo Jackson, he went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts.  Not exactly the start he was looking forward to…

1987 was a tough season for Bo.  He hit just .235, and had an on-base percentage of .296.  Still, he did show flashes of the power and speed that he would become famous for – 22 home runs and 10 stolen bases.
