Cal Ripken Jr. 2006 Upper Deck SP Legendary Cuts ‘Baseball Chronology’ Game-Used Jersey Card
I am thrilled to finally own a card like this – A Cal Ripken Game-Used Jersey card!!!
Cal is one of the players from the era that I love that I have always found to be untouchable. His cards are always bought, and he continues to bring in top-dollar when it comes to selling price.
For good reason too – he is one of the last ‘Good Guys’ – and he should be respected as such.
As for the card, I scored this one while at work. Surprisingly, I didn’t pay as much as I thought it would cost to land a card of this stature – but maybe because the auction ended during a weekday I had a little less competition.
Here is the card:
Thanks heavens for the IPhone and Ebay application!!!

Andre Dawson 2011 Topps Triple Threads Gold #23/99
I am still working on building some of the 2011 parallels from many of the Topps releases in 2011.
Between Topps Tier One, Topps Update, Topps Series 2, and Topps Triple Threads, I have a very long way to go.
But, in time, I am hoping to get there. And the acquisition of this baseball card gets me one step closer to reaching those goals.
From the Topps Triple Threads set, this card is the ‘Gold’ version and is serial numbered as 23/99.
Now I just need to go after those pesky ones that have a few less issues made… Wish me luck!

Pete Rose 1988 Topps – Manager Card
Personally, even taking everything into consideration, I think it would have been a thrill to play for a guy like Pete Rose.
Well, it is simple – he wanted to win at all costs. Pete’s style of play was aggressive and confident so I have to imagine he coached in a similar manner.
As for the 1988 baseball season, the Reds had a pretty solid record. They went 87-74 and finished in second place in the National League West.

Reader Rich Offers Up A Very Unique Fergie Jenkins Baseball Card!!!
Man, I love the loyal ’30-YOC’ readers – between the stories shared about the players we cherish, I am always excited to find new people who value the same baseball legends that I do.
So, when reader Rich told me about a Fergie Jenkins card that he thought I might like, I was instantly intrigued. He too is a fan of Jenkins and he picked up the card as a giveaway at a major league game.
Fast-forward to today, and the card is now with me and my collection that honors my favorite pitcher of all-time, Ferguson Arthur Jenkins!!
Have a look:
Pretty nice, huh? Yeah, I agree.
The card is standard sized and was produced by canadianbaseballnews.com was printed sometime after the summer of 2004. The back of the card highlights some of the great things that Fergie has done in the last 15 or so years that directly link him to his charitable efforts in Canada.
A great, and very unique, piece for my collection.
Thank you Rich!!!

Tony Gwynn 1984 Fleer
While extremely dull as it relates to graphic design, this card does offer up some great pieces to excite a fan like me.
In no particular order:
- Old School Padres logo
- Killer baseball cap
- Photo of a young, and thin, Tony Gwynn
