A Pair Of Andre Dawson 2010 Panini Relic Cards!!!

A Pair Of Andre Dawson 2010 Panini Relic Cards!!!

Alright, two more cards for my Andre Dawson player collection.  And to get just a little more specific, two more relic-cards for the collection!!

I am not a big fan of the 2010 Panini release, but the cards came to me at a great price, one that I felt that I should not pass up.

So, with that I bring to you the latest additions to my collection.

First, we have the Game-Used Bat card that is serial numbered as  6/100.

And then we have the Game-Used Jersey card which is a little more rare as it is numbered to just 29/50.

Not horrible looking cards, but far from stunners too.

Still, any time that I can add some new cards to my Andre Dawson collection, affordably, I will usually take the plunge.

Thanks for reading.

Fergie Jenkins 2004 Topps Tribute – 1991 GOLD!!!

Fergie Jenkins 2004 Topps Tribute – 1991 GOLD!!!

What’s not to like about this card of Fergie Jenkins, the latest addition to the collection I am building to honor his Hall of Fame career…

It’s a modern card that features an old school image…

It’s got him wearing his Chicago Cubs uniform…

It’s part of the 2004 Topps Tribute set…

It’s a parallel card to the base card – this one happens to be Gold…

It’s serial numbered as 32/91…

There is nothing about this card that I do not like!!!

Enjoy.

Jim Abbott 1992 Fleer

Jim Abbott 1992 Fleer

I’m not sure what it is, but these 1992 Fleer baseball cards always stand out to me.

I’m not entirely sure what catches my eye first – the Aqua-colored border or the vertical player name…

Either way, I like the cards!

And when they feature a sweet image of Mr. Jim Abbott, even better.

Have a look:

Rod Carew 1981 Fleer

Rod Carew 1981 Fleer

Horrible baseball card design – Hell of a ballplayer!!!

My favorite stat from Rod Carew’s 1981 season??

16

In a shortened season, Carew appeared in just 93 baseball games in 1981.  Still, he managed to steal 16 bases.  And for a 35-year old veteran, 16 swipes in a single campaign is very solid output!!

Atta Boy Rod!!!

Bret Saberhagen 2004 Topps All-Time Fan Favorites

Bret Saberhagen 2004 Topps All-Time Fan Favorites

Bret Saberhagen celebrated his first All-Star selection during the 1987 baseball season.

And his numbers certainly backed up his selection:

  • 18-10 record
  • 15 complete games
  • 4 shutouts
  • 3.36 ERA
  • 163 strikeouts
  • 1.16 WHIP

Not bad at all!!!

Go Get ‘Em Bret!!!!
