Fergie Jenkins 2006 Upper Deck SP Legendary Cuts – Legendary Materials – Bronze
Yes, it is about that time! Time to add another relic card to the Fergie Jenkins collection.
This one comes from the 2006 Upper Deck SP ‘Legendary Materials’ set and is the Bronze parallel version. The colors of the card are much bolder than what is shown in the scan – trust me.
And this little beauty is numbered to just 99 issues, with this one being #54.
My collection of Fergie Jenkins Game-Used memorabilia cards is growing nicely. I am starting to notice that very few of the cards I have picked up so far have no Cubs’ pinstripes.
I am going to try to fix that… Stay tuned.

Al Kaline 2001 Topps Archives
While this card comes from the 2001 Topps Archives baseball card set, it is a reprint of the 1974 Topps design.
1974 was Kaline’s final major league season in his 22-year career. And the numbers he posted, at the age of 39, were still pretty solid – 146 hits, 71 runs scored, 64 RBI, 28 doubles, 13 home runs, and 2 stolen bases.
Of the 2,834 games that Kaline played in, he only played 135 at first base – Still, it is cool that Topps found a good photo to use of Mr. Kaline at that position.
There are 4 members of the 3,000 Strikeouts club whose last name starts with the letter ‘S’ – more than any other letter.
The players: Tom Seaver (3,640), Don Sutton (3,574), Curt Schilling (3,116), and John Smoltz (3,084).
