Finally, My First Certified Autograph Of Jim Palmer!!!

Finally, My First Certified Autograph Of Jim Palmer!!!

I declared my intent to become a ‘Jim Palmer Super Collector’ in the middle of January.  And since that formal announcement, I have added some great Jim Palmer baseball goodies to my collection that honors his fantastic career.

And now, I can finally smile and show off my first Jim Palmer certified autographed baseball card.

Have a look:

Palmer is far from cheap.  Certainly not the most expensive, but definitely not the cheapest either…

After bidding on a handful, but not yet ready to take a double-digit plunge, I scored this one.

Not too bad for $9.99.

And that sweet Blue autograph really pops too!!!

1979 Topps Montreal Expos Team Card Featuring Mr. Andre Dawson!!!!

This is the 4th of five Montreal Expos team cards that was issued by Topps while Andre Dawson suited up for the team.

You can see Andre in the second row of the photo, in the third position from the left.  He is proudly wearing #10.

Here is a close-up:

Just one more team card to go!!!

Thanks for reading.

Frank Robinson 2005 Donruss Diamond Kings – Hall Of Fame Heroes – RED

Frank Robinson 2005 Donruss Diamond Kings – Hall Of Fame Heroes – RED

In my book, any time that you can bring home a baseball card featuring Frank Robinson it is a good day.

And when that card depicts Robinson as a member of either the Cincinnati Reds or Baltimore Orioles, the day is even better.

So, as you can see, today is a pretty solid day!!!

But, you know what could make it even better???

If this card’s ‘Diamond King’ logo was Orange!!!

🙂

Jim Abbott 1989 Donruss Baseball’s Best

Jim Abbott 1989 Donruss Baseball’s Best

From what I have been able to see, not too many players made it into the ‘Baseballs Best’ set issued by Donruss in their first big league seasons – and the set was pretty large too.

But, Jim Abbott such a reputation before hitting the majors that he deserved the added attention given to him by the major card companies.

From the Olympic success and the collegiate dominance, Abbott was indeed one of ‘Baseballs Best’!!!!

It’s too bad that the photo cannot be classified that way….

My First Time – Ron Santo – June 26, 1960

My First Time – Ron Santo – June 26, 1960

The Setting – Forbes Field.  Pittsburgh, PA.

From Santo – ‘I came up in the second inning and my knees were shaking, really shaking.  That first pitch was a curveball, but I get right back in there and rip a single on the next pitch’.

The Boxscore – Cubs 7, Pirates 6.  Santo goes 2-for-4 with 3 RBI.

2012 Topps Tribute

My goal is to build all of these Miami Marlins team sets – so anything that you have that can assist me with this process, I would be very grateful.
