Eric Davis 1989 Donruss

Eric Davis 1989 Donruss

As the Cincinnati Reds were marching towards their eventual 1990 World Series title, Eric Davis was headed towards some pretty impressive individual feats as a big league player.

In the season before winning the World Series, Davis was as solid as solid gets.

In 1989, Davis was an All-Star, Gold Glove winner, Silver Slugger winner, and MVP candidate.

The numbers look like this – .281 batting average, .367 on-base percentage, 14 doubles, 34 home runs, 101 RBI, 74 runs scored, 21 stolen bases, and 11 sacrifice flies.

I would love to have a player with this kind of talent on my team if I was chasing a championship!!

Go Get ‘Em ED!!!
