2012 Topps ‘Career Day’ Subset – Card #7 – Frank Robinson, Baltimore Orioles

2012 Topps ‘Career Day’ Subset – Card #7 – Frank Robinson, Baltimore Orioles

I am working on this set because I find it to be the most appealing of the subsets issued by Topps in 2012.

The cards feature bold colors, great images, and a unique horizontal design.

I especially like the ‘Career Day’ theme as it pays homage to some of the greatest individual performances of baseball’s elite players.

Card #7 – Frank Robinson

CAREER DAY 7

Career Day – June 26, 1970.  Frank Robinson became just the seventh hitter in major league history to connect for Grand Slams in consecutive innings when his Orioles were playing the Washington Senators.  His run production helped lead the Orioles to a 12-2 win.  On the day, Robinson was 2-for-4 with two home runs, 8 RBI, and a walk.

Progress – 7/25
