 1982 HEADLINE: Gaylord Perry Wins 300th Game Of His Career

On this day in 1982, Gaylord Perry won the 300th game of his major league career.

As a member of the Seattle Mariners, and at home playing in the Kingdome, Perry took on the New York Yankees. And in front of 27,000+ fans, Perry and the Mariners beat them 7-3.

At the age of 43, Perry was strong. Going the distance, he allowed 9 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking just 1 batter. Gaylord Perry was just the 15th person in major league history to win 300 games.
