Baseball Card Show Purchase #4 – Eddie Murray 2008 Topps Triple Threads RED
Here is another card that I scooped while digging through boxes seeking out new cards for my player collections.
The card features Hall of Famer, and Orioles legend, Eddie Murray and it is from the 2008 Topps Triple Threads set.
The card is serial numbered as 624/1350 and is the ‘Red’ version of the card.
I really like the look of the card, and the Red coloring in the background looks great. But, it does make me wonder how it would look if it was Orange…
30-Year Old Cardboard 
The card would look O-mazing in orange. Too bad it wasn’t a no-brainer for Topps.
Matt- Agreed. I wish Topps would take a slight departure from what is becoming the standard for their parallels…
Its all a matter of rushed design and no concept of matching team colors to cards. To many dealers demand parallels and don’t care for the design just as long as it is in short supply and they can make an extra $$$ off of it.
Mick- Im not sure if is a dealer-thing, but less of the same color year after year would be a welcomed change in my opinion…
