Joe Morgan 1981 Kellogg’s 3-D Super Stars

Joe Morgan 1981 Kellogg’s 3-D Super Stars

Oh yeah, it is ‘oddball’ time at ’30-YOC’ and this time around we’re going back to Kellogg’s and their 3-D Super Star baseball cards from the early 1980’s.

I have a bunch of these cards in my collection already, but I recently scored a ‘new’ one for my Joe Morgan collection.

The card comes from the 1981 set and it features Morgan in his old Houston Astros uniform.

Check it out:

MORGAN5

Morgan debuted with the Houston team when they were the Colt .45s.  He remained with them while they went through a name change to the Astros as you see above.  After leaving Cincinnati after the 1979 baseball season, Morgan went back to Houston for one more season.  I am guessing that this image of Morgan is from that reunion with the Astros franchise.

A great, and tasty, addition to my Joe Morgan player collection!!!

  1. As someone that has virtually every Kellogg’s card made, including the 1981 complete set, it is clearly one of my all-time favorite sets to collect. And Joe Morgan is a vastly underrated player too!
