Frank Robinson 2004 Upper Deck Legends ‘ Timeless Teams’ – 1970 Baltimore Orioles
The 1970 Baltimore Orioles were a fantastic team, winning the grand prize of a World Series trophy at the conclusion of the season.
The team was loaded with stars on offense and elite starting pitching. The end result was a 108-54 record and 1st place in the American League East.
Among the offensive superstars on the team was Frank Robinson. During that ’70 campaign, Robinson hit 25 home runs while driving in 78 and scoring 88 times. He hit .306 and had an on-base percentage of .398.
It is nice to see him honored with this card from the ‘Timeless Teams’ subset, I just wish that Upper Deck selected a better image for the card…
