2013 Topps Update ‘Postseason Heroes’ Subset – Reggie Jackson
The 2013 Topps Update baseball card set includes a subset tagged as ‘Postseason Heroes. And with that theme, you would expect to find cards of modern players like Albert Pujols, Edgar Rentaria, and Pablo Sandoval but none of these guys made the checklist.
That does leave room for some nice surprises…
This is the card of Reggie Jackson from the set:
Sure, Reggie Jackson may be best known for hitting home runs in three consecutive at-bats in the 1977 World Series that secured victory for the Yankees and a World Series championship as well.
But, Reggie’s postseason resume extends well beyond the 1977 Fall Classic. Reggie is a 4-time champion, winning titles with the Oakland A’s in 1973 and 1974 and then with the Yankees in 1977 and 1978.
