Vince Coleman ‘Fab Five’ – Card #2 – 1990 Score
Now that my Vince Coleman player collection is complete, it is time to show of my favorite five cards from the set.
Card #2 – 1990 Score
It should be pretty clear why this one stands out among the many cards of Vince Coleman that were eligible for this elite list of five.
It’s the Red & Yellow – a perfect blend of color for Coleman and his Cardinals team colors.
It simply could not get any better!!!
On a side note, when I was a kid, we used to think that this card was perfectly colored for Hulk Hogan too… 🙂

Giancarlo Stanton 2013 Topps Chrome
Yep, I am still chipping away at the cards that were issued of Giancarlo Stanton during the 2013 collecting year.
This is my first base card of his from the Chrome set – I already had the ’72 design in my collection.
Hopefully I am able to snag a few of the colored parallel versions of this card before they become really tough to find..
Wish me luck.

2013 Topps Archives ‘Tallboys’ Subset – David Wright
With the new 2013 Topps Archives baseball card set release, the ‘Mini Tallboys’ subset is easily one of the best parts of the issue.
The cards from this subset offer a very basic, but throwback feel that screams vintage. The set is 40 cards deep and offers a nice mixture of current players, stars from the 1980′s, and Hall of Fame legends.
This is the card of David Wright from the set:
Simply put, David Wright is the ‘King Of New York’.
At The 2013 baseball season was Wright’s 10th in the league and with the Mets. He is second on the team all-time with a .301 batting average. He has the highest tally of all Mets players in hits, doubles, RBI, runs scored, and trails Darryl Strawberry by 30 in the home run category.
Wright is signed with the Mets through the 2020 baseball is season. If he stays with the team that long, he will go down with the crown of ‘Mr. Met’.

Jim Palmer 2002 Fleer Greats
The 2002 Fleer Greats set offers up a very nice 3-D looking baseball card set.
Between the muted background and the touches of color on display, the player images on these Fleer Greats cards really leap from the surface.
While Palmer was not blessed with the fastest fastball in the American League, it looks like the heat is coming on this card!!!

‘Wednesday’s Word Association’ – When I Hear The Name “Clayton Kershaw”, I Think Of…
With the new contract that Clayton Kershaw signed with the Dodgers last week, he is now being paid comparably to what his skill level is. And they are both LOADED.
Kershaw is by far the best pitcher in the game over the last 4 seasons, and he has shown little to no signs of slowing down. His output is on par with the best in the game’s history at his age, and now it is time to take his team to the next level. It is ‘LA OR BUST’ for the Dodgers and their hopes for a World Series title – and it will be Clayton Kershaw that ensures their success.
And now, When You Hear The Name “Clayton Kershaw”, You Think Of…
