Jim Palmer 2014 Topps Gypsy Queen – Base

Jim Palmer 2014 Topps Gypsy Queen – Base

More than any other legend, I was super-excited to see the name ‘Jim Palmer’ appear on the 2014 Gypsy Queen checklist.

So far this year, Palmer has only been in one other set, and it was a subset card from the 2014 Topps Heritage issue.

But, with Gypsy Queen, there is a lot to go after.  And I plan on doing so with a ‘Full Steam Ahead’ mentality.

Here is his base card from the set:

I like the image, but I feel like we have seen it before.  Still, my happiness about the possibility of adding more Palmer cards is strong and I am planning on doing everything possible to bring them all home.

Wish me luck!

Giancarlo Stanton 2014 Topps Gypsy Queen – Base

Giancarlo Stanton 2014 Topps Gypsy Queen – Base

With the Marlins team set out of the way, I can finally spend a little time paying attention to the Stanton & Fernandez cards from the 2014 Topps Gypsy Queen release.

This is the base card of Stanton from the set:

I like the card, it is full of action.  He took a pretty solid hack at what was delivered by the pitcher on this one – hopefully he connected!

I am hoping to be able to grab more of the cards he is featured on in the coming weeks as I always enjoy chasing  the GQ rainbows of my favorite players.

It is time to shop!!

Bryce Harper 2013 Topps Update – 1971 Topps Mini Design

Bryce Harper 2013 Topps Update – 1971 Topps Mini Design

Ughhh…  It’s a sad night at he ’30-YOC’ household tonight.

First, I show you a card of my favorite pitcher in the game and he is dealing with surgery recovery that will keep him out of major league action for at least 12 months.

And now I have to think about how much I miss watching Bryce Harper play too.  Sheesh.  It is so much fun to watch ‘Harp’ play and I truly hope that when he comes back in July that he is able to swing the bat in the same manner in which he was doing prior to his thumb injury.

With these two guys out, the NL East is wide open and primed for the Braves to make a dash to the top.

Check out my latest Harper pick-up:

This card is from the 2013 Topps Update set.  As you can see, the card is mini in size and features that famous 1971 Topps graphic design.

I LOVE IT!!!
