Lou Brock Was Once A Chicago Cub…
A long time ago, way before he became the Cardinals legend, Lou Brock was a Chicago Cub.
Brock debuted for the Cubs at the tail end of the 1961 baseball season, appearing in four games.
But by the start of the 1962 season, Brock became a regular on the Cubs’ roster. And he would remain there until 1/3 of the way through the 1964 season.
In his 2 1/3 seasons in Chicago, Brock collected 310 hits including 52 doubles, 20 triples, and 20 home runs. He scored 183 runs and drove in 86. As a Cub, Brock stole 50 bases.
