Dustin Pedroia 2009 ToppsTown
I was collecting back in 2009, but I was not going after modern stuff. Well, let me correct that – I was collecting modern cards of retired legends, just not active players…
So, while I was collecting in ’09, I really have no clue what this ‘ToppsTown’ card or set is all about. I like the look, and the colors work very well with the Sox uniform that Pedroia is sporting, but I am wondering if this is what Topps was issuing prior to their newer ‘Spring Fever’ sets that have been in the 2013 and 2014 sets.
Can anyone tell me more about this card? Thank you!

Giancarlo Stanton 2014 Topps Turkey Red – Online Exclusive
Here is a nice one-and-done for my Giancarlo Stanton collection.
This card comes from the web-exclusive 2014 Topps Turkey Red set.
As for the ‘one-and-done’ comment, Stanton only had a single card in this set so with this pick-up, I can quickly and smoothly move on to my next conquest to collect #27.

Jose Fernandez 2013 Topps All-Star Stitches Game-Used Jersey Relic Card
While I am certainly not pleased that Jose Fernandez is rehabilitating an injury that will keep him away from Marlins Park until at least the start of the 2015 baseball season, I have seen a slight dip in how quickly his ‘But It Now’ cards are selling on Ebay.
And I was hoping that I would be able to grab a few.
And that hope turned into reality when I scored this sweet card.
From the 2013 Topps set, this card celebrates Fernandez making the All-Star team during his rookie campaign. The swatch is a bright Orange, which represented the National League and it is from his practice jersey from the event.
I am thrilled to have this Game-Used relic card to my collection.
Hopefully a few more will land my way too.
