Joe Morgan 2001 Topps Archives – 1965 Topps Rookie Card Reprint

Joe Morgan 2001 Topps Archives – 1965 Topps Rookie Card Reprint

Ok, so if I was ever wanting to collect a complete modern-era baseball card set, the 2001 Topps Archives set would certainly be a contender.

I mean, this set has it all – Star power, great images, sharp design, solid cardstock.  What is not to like??

And one of my favorite aspects of the set is that we got bonus rookie cards of our favorite players, with a nice twist.  For the players that made the cut who had rookie cards in which they ‘shared’ space with another, or many players, they finally got a rookie card of their own.

Like this one of Hall of Famer, Joe Morgan:

Morgan’s card from the 1965 Topps set is shared with another player.  But, 36 years later, Joe finally has his own.

I love how Topps did this, and this aspect of the set is enough for me to rank this one very highly among modern issues.

I LOVE IT!!
