Reggie Jackson 2010 Topps ‘The Cards Your Mom Threw Out’ – 1978 Topps Reprint

Reggie Jackson 2010 Topps ‘The Cards Your Mom Threw Out’ – 1978 Topps Reprint

While I absolutely prefer my baseball cards, especially the vintage ones, feature action images, there are times when the card features a neat portrait.

And this card of Reginald Martinez Jackson fits the bill.

Have a look:

This card is from the popular 2010 ‘Cards Your Mom Threw Out’ subset.  It features Reggie’s 1978 Topps card on the front, and it is just spewing with 1970’s style – from the flap-less helmet to the afro hairstyle to the butterfly collar to the bushy mustache – this image screams 1970’s.

And I love it!!

I will say, though, that the faux-autograph of Reggie’s that is printed on the card is a horrible look.  It does not look anything like his true, and very neat, signature.  The auto is a fail, for sure.

  1. 1977 reprint NOT 1978

  2. The card in question is based off the 1977 Topps design, not 1978, The subject for 1978 from the CYMTO set was Eddie Murray.

  3. horrible airbrushing. should’ve just left it an Orioles hat.
