Jim Palmer Is A 6-time All-Star
I enjoy celebrating All-star appearances quite a bit more than I actually enjoy watching the games. While it’s nice to see the game’s greatest players all on one field at one time, I find the game to lean on the boring side. And I cannot stand the fact that it’s result affects the World Series – this is easily the dumbest thing baseball’s commissioner had done during his reign as baseball’s leader.
Enough about that…
Jim Palmer is a 6-time All-star. And while pitchers don’t usually garner as many selections to the All-star team as position players do, I am very surprised that a player of Palmer’s caliber does not have more All-star credits on his resume.
Of his 6 selections, Palmer started 4 All-star games. He made a relief appearance in one and did not appear in another.
