  1. In the 1980’s I worked with Nellie Briles to find guests for our annual baseball card show. Nellie worked out of the Pirates office and would help to find former Pirates for our show. One year we had difficulty in securing a guest. Nellie asked if we were interested in having him. We worked out a suitable deal and Nellie was our autograph guest. He was great with the fans and I remember him telling some great stories.
