Bryce Harper 2014 Donruss Series 2
I didn’t go after too many cards from the 2014 Donruss Series 2 set, but I wanted to grab a small handful of the guys that I actively go after.
Among that limited group, is Bryce Harper.
Harper had a card in the Series 1 release so I was not sure how the Series 2 checklist was going to look. But, when I found his name included, I went after it.
Here is the card:
Not a bad pick-up for just $0.18.

Cal Ripken Jr. 1991 Topps ‘1990 Record Breaker’
Now this one is a sweet one!!
Check it out:
This card comes from the 1991 Topps baseball card set and it is part of the ‘Record Breakers’ subset.
I like the look of the card with the 40th Anniversary logo in place in the upper-left corner, and the prominent ‘Record Breaker’ tagline at the bottom truly calls out what makes this card special.
For me, the only thing that is missing from the front is some kind of hint as to what the record was. I like the way that it was done in 1985, and I wish that Topps carried that style forward with other issues. A little hint or tease as to what is printed on the back would have been nice – give us a reason to pause and read the back of the card!
As an FYI, this card is celebrating the fact that Ripken had an errorless games streak of 95 consecutive games at shortstop in which he handled 431 plays before making another error.

Reggie Jackson 2011 Topps ’60 Years Of Topps’ – 1970 Topps Reprint
Here is another fun reprint card that I have added to my Reggie Jackson collection.
This card comes from the 2011 Topps ’60 Years Of Topps’ set and as you can see, it features Reggie’s 1970 Topps baseball card.
I really like this young shot of Mr. October from this set. It is cool to see him sans mustache and in those great 2-piece Athletics jerseys. And if you look at the size of his arms and shoulders from this shot, you can truly see how big Reggie’s upper body is. I’m sure that helped him connect for some of the 23 home runs that he hit in 1970.

Giancarlo Stanton 2014 Panini Prizm – Blue Parallel
Here is a beautiful card for you to enjoy on this Sunday evening.
The card is from the 2014 Panini Prizm baseball card set and it is the ‘Blue Parallel’ version of the base card.
Each Blue card was limited to just 75 copies. The one I picked up is stamped as 33/75.
Have a look:
The Blue looks nice – bright and bold!
I know that there are a lot more parallel colors of this card out there for me to target. Hopefully, in time, I can get a few more for my collection.
Time will tell.
