Did You Know…

Sandy Koufax was the first pitcher to win the Cy Young Award in three different seasons.  He accomplished the feat in 1963, 1965, and 1966.

No player in the 20th century has won more games in his final season in the majors than Sandy Koufax.  Koufax wrapped up his big league career in 1966 while winning 27 times for the Dodgers.

Sandy Koufax was the first pitcher in major league history to capture the Cy Young Award with a unanimous vote.  In 1963, Koufax went 25-5 with a 1.88 ERA and 11 shutouts.

Since the inception of the award in 1956, no team has produced more Cy Young Award winners than the Los Angeles Dodgers.
