Tim Raines 2009 SP Legendary Cuts – Game Used Bat Card #51/100

Tim Raines 2009 SP Legendary Cuts – Game Used Bat Card #51/100

It has been way too long since I added a nice card of Tim Raines to my collection, so I shopped around bit and found this beauty for a great price.

Issued in 2009, I love that the SP brand decided to use a photo of Raines in his Expos uniform for he card.

When I think of Raines, I absolutely think of the Expos first, and he is one of the franchise’s greatest players.  Hell, to take that one step further, I could easily argue that he is one of the decade’s best players too – 1980’s!!!

A fantastic addition to my collection.

And it cost me just a measly $1.99!!!   YES!!!

Tim Raines 2011 In The Game ‘Heroes & Prospects’ Game-Used Jersey Card

Man, this card is very sweet!  Such creativity…

I found this card online while shopping for the Andre Dawson relic from the same set.  And while I ultimately lost out on that auction(story of my life), I did score this beauty of Dawson’s favorite teammate and ’30-YOC’ PC member – All-Star Tim Raines.

Issued in February 2011, I knew I wanted to add a few of these cards to my collection as soon as I came across them.

The card is issued by a company called ‘In The Game’, and while they are not licensed to use MLB logos or team names, the product offered up is pretty solid.

Mostly done in shades of Black and White, the card looks fantastic.  The little splashes of color that they added, along with the Silver foil stamping, blend very well with the design of the card.  And it doesn’t hurt that the company’s logo matches the Montreal Expos’ colors too.

And the big chunk of Raines’ jersey looks great.  Nice and big, the piece offers up two colors and two seams.

Here it is:

I love this set.

I love this series.

I love picking up relic cards of my favorite players for bargain pricing!

I scooped up this card for just $1.49 on Ebay a week ago.  It had been a while since I added a new Tim Raines card to my collection, but the wait was certainly worth it as this one is a beauty.

Check it out:

I told you!!!

Numbered as 30/30, this one is one of the more rare versions from this 2008 issue.  And while that is coll and all, I am just happy to own a great-looking relic card featuring Tim Raines in his Powder Blues!!!
